Gmail SMTP Setup

Send emails from your Gmail account

This is the easiest way to send emails via Google.

SMTP Settings (Gmail)

SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com

Port: 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)

Authentication: Required

Username: Full Gmail address

Password: App Password (NOT normal password)

🔐 IMPORTANT: Use an App Password

Google no longer allows normal passwords for SMTP.

Steps:

  1. 1. Go to your Google Account → Security
  2. 2. Enable 2-Step Verification
  3. 3. Go to App Passwords
  4. 4. Generate a password for:
    • • App: Mail
    • • Device: Other (name it "DayRate")
  5. 5. 👉 You'll get a 16-character password like: abcd efgh ijkl mnop
  6. 6. Use that as your SMTP password

Your App Password is stored securely and never shared.
